Souvenir from the beach

– Look at this pebble –
the smooth cap of the universe,
a star infinitely glistening
on a rocky background,
the dust of the cosmos.

– I've never seen anything like that before –
this galaxy the size of two thumbs,
on which the rays of the sun
react like a lit lamp
with gold sparks.

Only under a careful look
does the gray stone turn out
in a carnival kaleidoscope
saturating an eye-catching sight
of luminous beauty.
